Silence.
Ms. Miller hadn't stopped the server enough. The damage was done.
Liam recovered first. "What are you talking about? I've never been here before! I have a wife and child! This is my daughter's teacher!"

The server, still holding the menu, finally looked properly at me, then at Bella, who bears a cclear resemblance to Liam. He fell silent.
He'd just stumbled upon a significant secret.
"Whatever! Just these dishes. Hurry up and put the order in." Liam pointed hastily at random item on the menu, desperate t make the server leave.
But the way he ordered was too smooth. The dishes he selected were all his personal favorites.
"Wait! Did you say they come here often? Together?" I asked calmly.
I watched, a cold amusement settling in, as Liam and Ms. Miller began to sweat.

Liam looked panicked but tried to maintain composure. "Honey, this guy is busy all day—he must've confused us with another couple. Ms. Miller and I hardly know each other. Why would we be eating together?"
"Oh really? Then what about these?" I coldly tossed a stack of photographs onto the table and crossed my arms, waiting for their performance to end.
The photos were from a private investigator I'd hired after finding the note. "Sat 5" did mean Saturday at 5 pm.
That Saturday, Liam left at 4 pm, claiminging he had to fix a flat tire. He'd taken series of detours before finally arriving at a discreet motel..

Ms. Miller was already there, room booked, waiting for him.
They were together until 7 PM, then came here to eat, before parting ways with obvious reluctance.
Liam was shocked. "You investigated me?!"
He was still trying to turn this back on me!
Ms. Miller picked up a photo of them kissing. "Not bad quality."
Was she joking?! Liam glared at her.
She shrugged, giving up. "Why bother hiding it? The evidence is right here. Just tell your wife."
She looked directly at me, her arm snaking possessively around Liam's. Her tone turned cold and arrogant. "Since you know, there's no point in denyiing it. Liam and I are together. You should divorce him. After all, the one who isn't loved is the real outsider here."
I was stunned. How could she be so bold? What kind of mistress acts this entitled?
She must have been led to believe Liam was more powerful than me. She couldn't even conceal her ambition to take my place.
"Ms. Miller?" Bella was shocked. She might not grasp all the details, but she knew their behavior was deeply wrong.
"Don't worry," Ms. Miller said condescendingly. "I'll be generous. I'll have Liam give you some money—enough to get by. After all, even the scraps from his table are more than you're used to. But you certainly won't be living this luxurious life anymore."
She looked me up and down, jealousy flashing in her eyes before being replaced by smug satisfaction. Soon, she clearly thought, all this would be hers.
